When more than 2,700 workers from 27 major U.S. cities were asked the question, Thinking of your last job offer, did you try to negotiate for higher pay? only 39% said yes. Men were more likely than woman to negotiate (46% vs. 34%), and workers ages 18-34 reported the highest tarif of any generational group (45%).Simply taking what is offered, however, typically isnt in your best interest.
